I'm Gerard — from Spain, now in Stockholm 🇪🇸→🇸🇪. PhD in Biomedicine, then postdoc at Karolinska Institutet (2 years) and University of Michigan (1 year). My last research contract ended in Nov 2025; when the next role didn't land, I decided to go all-in on Bertly (bertly.app).
I'm building it full-time: a privacy-first household finance app — manual by design, real financial statements, fair-share for couples, E2EE. Solo founder shipping with AI (Next.js + Supabase). 10+ early users in a private beta.
Bertly is my next chapter — hope, but also work. Building in public from Sweden.
