Fotos Georgiadis

Hi! 👋 ⁣I'm Fotos co-founder of Wimit.

Born and raised in Athens 🇬🇷, currently residing in Amsterdam 🇳🇱.

I grew up tinkering with computers, video games and programming from the age of 6. It was an instant click and catapulted me towards a Computer Science education.

After graduating from the university with honors, I build my first startup, an innovative service and search engine for buying or renting your next house, made a lot of mistakes and learned a ton of things.

Since then I was lucky to join two more companies at various stages of their evolution (start up to scale up, and scale up towards maturity), with a variety of responsibilities: from agile team lead, to hiring manager, from leading the technical direction towards cloud native services to being part of the leadership team as an engineering manager for 2 teams of 16 people total.

Nowadays I work for Scribd, changing the way people read, by day and on Wimit, trying to help people go out, by night.
