I maintain several popular open-source libraries, and helped found a non-profit that runs the largest regional Python conference (PyBay). I have a deep-seated love of knowledge in general and Wikipedia specifically. I maintain a handful of wiki-oriented projects (Hatnote), of which Listen to Wikipedia is the most popular.

After 15 years building fintech at places like PayPal and Stripe, I realized moving money is easy, but deciding when and why to invest or spend had gotten much harder. I wanted something that looked like Notion, and worked like the App Store meets GitHub, for financial planning. It’s a collaborative platform where friends and family can answer money questions and drive life decisions, augmented by structured expert input and AI assistance. So I built FinFam.
