The problem I’m solving: catalogs are huge, taste is personal, and “what should we watch?” still eats half the evening. Popular charts and star ratings don’t know you. Groups are even worse - everyone vetoes until nobody picks.
What Tastefinder does:
• Swipe / react (like, dislike, super like, skip) to build a taste profile
• Personalized recommendations from that profile
• Import IMDb / Letterboxd so you’re not starting from zero
• Watch Together — find overlap for a group
• Where to watch (stream / rent / buy by region)
• Watchlists, trending, topics & collections, plus a guess-the-movie game
