I usually try to learn new stuff and evaluate new tech stacks every time I'm working on side projects. Lately I've using mostly Node + React, hosting it serverlessly over Google Cloud Platform.
As for side projects, I have built quite a few - some open source projects, other were attempts at building services that could eventually monetize. Most of them were abandoned at some point, as I lost faith/interest. With my recent project, SyncThemCalendars.com, I believe I managed to build something that is really useful and take it all the way to an actual product with a monetization strategy. 😁
