Got a side project to sell? Feature it in our newsletter?
Hey IH crew, my team is running a curated newsletter for people looking to buy small digital businesses and brands. Most of the marketplaces in the space suck, or have a really bad 'signal to noise' ratio. So we do the hard/annoying work of hunting through the muck and highlighting interesting stuff.
But wondering if anyone here's got a side project or small business they've been hoping to sell? If so, drop a comment and we'll see if it's a fit - I'll likely want to ping you with a few questions if so. Please add (if possible): Description, Domain/Link, ~Asking Price, Revenue/Profit, Users/Traffic, Tech Stack (ie code language, platform, etc), Why Selling!
Comment with anything, but fyi we focus on ecommerce, SaaS, communities with some mobile apps & ad-focused opportunities sprinkled in.
Thanks in advance!
How many people do you have subscribed to your newsletter?
A couple hundred, but many on beta (free) trials. :)
Is there a way to access the beta? I'm not seeing it.
No, full paywall atm. Letting in IH members ad hoc. What's your email?

All set!
Hi Derek!
I really like the clean & simple LP of https://tinyacquire.com/
I'm curious about the way you curate side projects, and the number of projects (by month) you send to your subscribers?
Hi Olive, thanks a bunch!
Landing page on @ajlkn's Carrd.co, of course.
Bit of a secret sauce at this point, but goal is to make this project as open as possible. We're still in beta stage right now.
The # per month will vary, but aiming for at least 5-10 per week.
So far indication is that there's enough supply, but it's fragmented across inefficient marketplace sites or buried in private (often paid) backchannels and communities. I'm refining our hunt, so to speak. :) We hit all the major marketplaces and scour forums - and often email/message sellers to get useful details we'd want if we were going to bid.
I focus on $500-$15k asking price with a bias towards projects that wouldn't require deep technical skills.
In each curated listing I also note specific due diligence areas I'd try to satisfy before committing to bids - and sometimes suggest bidding low or high. :)
If people like the project, some areas I'd like to add wider value would be connecting sellers directly to an interested buyer audience (kind of the core value prop), connecting the buyer community (collabs, syndicate buys), and even providing both sides with resources on how to do a deal effectively/quickly (not obvious for most, and again resources tend to be fragmented or platform specific).
Hope this is helpful!
Thanks a lot for this long answer, I really appreciate.
I really like your project and the way you're thinking about it.
I would love to launch a private/paid newsletter as well, so your project is a great source of inspiration.
I'll maybe subscribe to your newsletter in the future, who knows!
Wish you luck!
I'm interested from the buyer side: can you add me to your list? kkathuang@gmail.com
I can add you to the beta, sure! Sent one last night so it'll be ~week before you see an email. Add hi@tinyacquire.com to contacts / avoid spam. :)
