Feedback needed!

Scratched my own itch and developed a platform to help in negotiating salary increases (I had been doing this manually for years with decent success). Would love to hear any feedback/criticism before marketing.

Overhauled the message on the landing page based off of feedback from here and Reddit. Any thoughts/critique are appreciated!

I wish there was a preview of some sorts.

Hi John - Definitely hearing that feedback after this initial launch and plan on updating the landing page ASAP to better explain the product and include a demo. In the meantime, here is a screenshot of a "report" that is generated (learning that report may not be the best terminology as well). The idea is to visually emphasize your value to your current or potential employer with SalaryPOP and to leverage the "report" you build to negotiate your salary.

Let me know if you have any questions!

This is interesting but how does it work? How does it differ to something like, say, Glassdoor?

Where are you getting the data from and how do you come to a figure that is relevant to my situation and has a low margin for error?

I'm asking this because I am soo curious about this really.. as a developer, I often wonder my worth and it is difficult to estimate. Is this available in the UK or just USA for now?

P.S. I would certainly use this depending on the pricing. I would not like to end up in a scenario where that if I want to play around with the platform I need to keep buying reports. If that is the case, have you considered the mean time that somebody spends on a salary/new job project? And give them a quota of a number of reports they can run?

Also, meant to mention that signing up and building reports are free! I only charge once your feel confident in the value add to unlock your report (as seen in the screenshot) so that you can use it to negotiate your salary. There are a few pricing options, but to unlock a single report costs only $9.

      Hey Conor,

Thanks for the feedback! I'm quickly realizing that I need to polish my description of how SalaryPOP works and its intended use/value-add (will update the landing page soon to better articulate).

SalaryPOP is a tool for generating a "report" (visualization of a user's value to their current or potential employer) that communicates the user's desired salary/position, highlights their impact (both milestones and small achievements) since their last pay increase, and compares their current & desired salaries to others in similar positions to provide market validation for the increase.

As of now, all data is input directly by the user to create a "report" that can be seen here as a demo. These reports are private only to the user and can either be shared in person when negotiating their salary or the user can give others access to their report via email (requires those people to sign up for a SalaryPOP account to view).

For future iterations I'm planning on integrating with Glassdoor and other services to provide suggestions to users on salary comparison data, but for now it's added manually (including the ability to add the source for the data).

If you are planning on negotiating a pay raise soon and are interested in using SalaryPOP I'd love to work with you directly to ensure it's meeting your needs!
