1-click live demo vs free trial?

I have been building a browser extension to visually style websites without writing CSS https://intab.io

back when I was making the product landing page I thought the best way to showcase the product is to give visitors the ability to try the product instantly using a 1-click live demo.

Yet, lately, I have been getting a few requests for a free trial, saying that a trial period might help them better decide if the extension will fit in their development workflow.

so what are your thoughts? 🤔
do you think adding a free trial when having a live demo is necessary?
if so, what is the optimal trial period length for such a product (3 days, 7 days...)?
