Thank you for your comment and I'm glad that the features provided by GoNevis are something you're looking for. It's a positive sign that we have built something that people are interested in.

Good catch about the forum, most of our feedbacks and conversation with out users are done via email as much as we try to shift them to Forum it seems the old email works the best and we can learn and connect better via email. I believe we should do way better for public communication with out users.

To answer your question, yes, project is still being implemented and in progress, major upcoming updates are:

• Completely new dashboard https://github.com/SavandBros/gonevis-dash-2 (old/current one at https://github.com/SavandBros/gonevis-dash)
• Mobile application (first, Android)
• Web Master tools (Ability to verify your blog for web master tools such as Bing, Google, Yandex, Baidu)
• Circles: Sharing your posts with a selected group/circle of people.
• Bookmarking content.
• Much better and enhanced Reader experience (following your favorite bloggers) .
• A lot more tweaking and optimizations along the way.

Another thing that is on our roadmap for future is ability to export the content so you can download and keep it with yourself, but it's a long discussion and needs much more consideration.

Either a mistake or not working towards a specific goal for targeting users was something we did in the beginning. We didn't want to build something solely for developers or only for non-tech users. We didn't want to focus on content writers that are into blogging as the purpose of marketing content writing, or high-end users, business users where they look at drag and drop kind of features.

Keeping those in mind, we couldn't easily target users, through the whole time we wanted to just have a rough idea of what a blogger would like to see and use and for us was:

• Simplicity: It should just work!
• Writing: Should be easy to write and publish without a noise with an Editor that doesn't hurt you.
• Reading: Letting people read. (no ads, products, promotions, annoying UI)
• Social: A place where you can grow an audience or grow as an audience.

Keeping the above forced us to focus on building and a lot of experimenting with tiny and big features.

How we acquired the initial users? It was the developers behind it, we started using it ourselves, I mean we built it so we could have a blogging platform we liked and enjoy and later invited some friends and reached out to some people we knew will be into it.

Later we announced it on HackerNews, IndieHackers, Reddit. We got very very few signups though, most of our announcement didn't get any upvotes and exposures and to be honest signups are not the end goal for us, we took a lot of feedback from users that come from such places, valuable thoughts and suggestions and we're still trying to catch up with them.
