10,000 users, 60+ feedback and $245 in donations. Is this idea validated?

10,000 users, 60+ feedback and $245 later...

I released a free Notion productivity tool called DatePop as a lead magnet for another of our SaaS, Pop Invoice, an invoicing solution built for Notion.

But the free tool itself has proven to be really popular and has become a useful product in its own right.

I wondered "how" useful is it really? So I added a But Me a Coffee donation form that appears after they finished using DatePop. $245 was collected. Most donors gave $5 (1 coffee) but there were a few $25 (5 coffee) donations.

I also added a feedback form. Over 60 people submitted bugs, requests and general feedback.

All of the above gave me the signal I needed to add premium features.

So DatePop Premium is in the works! First premium feature will allow you to autofill any number of properties in your Notion database.

And it'll cost $1 to use any of the premium features, per autofill request.

As always, I share my journey from idea to revenue on X and my newsletter.

how did you make the video in your landing?

Ah, that's a new video that my co-founder made. Using Canva to create it then Filmora to finish it.

What do you think of it?

I liked it and was curious about how you made it. If you also had a demo try with react just for a live try, it could potentially lead to even more conversions.
