I'm looking for resources that would help me create a project timeline that will include milestones/tasks to creating a startup.

I'm looking for resources that would help me create a project timeline that will include milestones/tasks to creating a startup. So far I have the following milestones/tasks. Feel like I'm missing something.

Milestone 1 - Validating idea
-Determine problem we are solving
-Determine key features of the product
-Create interview questions for ideal customers/target audience

Milestone 2 - Define target market
-Identify your top 10 competitors and their keywords
-Identify audience and where they hangout
-Create customer avatar for initial 3 ideal customers
-Interview target audience

Milestone 3 - Create business/legal structure
-Register business name with appropriate federal/state/county officials
-Incorporate/determine legal structure
-Define how ownership is split
-Investigate and apply for business license
-Open business bank account

Milestone 4 - Establish online presence
-Register domain name/purchase hosting
-Register social media profiles
-Create landing page
-Create copywriting for digital marketing/product

If someone can refer me to a resource or give feedback, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Is this for a new product, SaaS based business or something more conventional? If it's the former, I'm not sure it's productive to try and use a linear project based approach. Can you give a little context as to what your goals are and what stage you're at? People may be able to provide more relevant input that way.

      It's a new product.

Currently in the market research phase.

My goal is to create some structure around the team's idea to move us forward. For the last two months, we all have been working on different aspects of the project but the work isn't being tracked most efficiently. By the end of Q1 2019, we would like to have completed the market research and product features.

My challenge is managing tasks if "tangible tasks" aren't visually seen as something to do. Does this make sense?

If none of this make sense, I will definitely keep answering....

      Thanks!

Check out "disciplined entrepreneurship" by Bill Aulet. There is an optional workbook that might be inline with what you're looking for. It breaks the process down into 24 steps with actionable activities. I have a copy and found it helpful to cut out some of the noise.

Since it sounds like you're working in a team you may also want to check out "slicing pie". Just use stripe atlas for company formation, but hold off until you really need to do this - otherwise it may cost you down the road.
