3 Simple Rules for Cold Emailing

Summary

Rule #1: Don't send cold email
Rule #2: If you must send cold email, make it short (3 lines short, can cheat and add one line in a P.S.)
Rule #3: Give an easy out.

Don't Send Cold Email

Warm it up. Get an intro. Find a way to initiate a conversation in public on twitter, linkedin, etc. Comment, reply, quote tweet, get to DMs.

Create more content that provokes booking calls, getting more info via email, etc.

If you must, Make it Short

Make your initial outreach super short. 3 lines and a P.S.

Get in and out quickly. Explain your value to them, and create a strong call to action that allows someone an easy in and makes it easy to reply to.

Give an Easy Out

Also make sure they can say no, unsubscribe, or just not answer you. Can be as simple as stating: "Understandable if you say no."

No guilt or insecurity needed. Everybody's busy so you don't have to include "I know you're busy but."

Have you experimented with applying some of these tactics to social media channels like linkedin and twitter? Curious your thoughts

Do you mean via DMs? Then yes. Works well.

Are you open to discussing more in depth how this has worked for you in the past?

Great advice! Building relationships first is key

"Building relationships first " I don't agree. Start with building trust authority then relationship happens afterwards.

When you go to see a doctor, do you start with the relationship or trust that they will solve your problem?

mmm I would argue that building trust is part of building a relationship but I see where you're coming from!
