39 Emails to Schedule One Breakfast (And the Restaurant Wasn't Even Open)

39 emails. 2 weeks. One group breakfast with 3 friends.

That's what it took to pick a single date, time, and restaurant for a networking meetup. Constant back and forth, every calendar treated like an afterthought.

We finally agreed on a place and showed up together.

It wasn't open for another 15 minutes.

Two weeks of emails and we still got the ending wrong. Scheduling shouldn't take this long, and the answer you land on should at least be open when you get there.

Worst group scheduling thread you've ever been stuck in?

39 emails is painful, but the part that makes this story memorable is that everyone eventually agreed — and the outcome was still wrong.

There’s a difference between successfully coordinating a decision and actually making a good one.
