3D Landing Page Feedback
Hey everyone,
After showing my site on various social channels and gathering the amazing feedback I'd gotten from everyone, I started working on redefining my landing page to make it more clear, consistent and responsive.
Copy writing was the thing I struggled with the most, so that was one of my primary areas of focus when updating the site.
The landing page was first was going to be a generic landing page like I've used on my previous products, but then I decided to play around a little and experiment with how I can make it stand out and give it a distinct feel that is more memorable.
So, after working on designing it for over a couple of weeks and then updating it based on the feedback I'd gotten, I've just launched the new updated landing page which you can check out here: slate.madebyayan.com

Ayan, this little bit of info was all I needed to understand what your product does: "unlimited floating windows that stay-on-top". The rest of it was more or less noise.
The image with VSCode in the background made me think "close those floats and get back to work!" :)
Is it a native app? Does it run on macOS? Windows? Android?
What problem is it trying to solve? Lack of screen real estate or difficulty of arranging multiple windows?

Actually, I had posted the site for review on discord and slack groups a while back and there were a few reviews about how they didn't understand what the app does, so I tried adding more details about what the app is, what are it's use cases and what features it has, so I guess that's where most of the noise came from, by trying to add in more info.
It's an electron based windows app, though I've gotten some reviews on product hunt about how some people would like a Mac app as well, so I'll try to add support for it as well.

The problem that it's trying to solve is the first one that you've mentioned, providing more real estate on your screen. So it'll be particularly helpful for people who have a single display, but those who have multiple displays can also use it to optimize their workspace.
Is the app open source? I wonder what pushback you get from potential users due to security/trust. Mine is 100% FOSS (https://github.com/stackmuncher/stm_app) and even then I hear that lack of trust to downloading executables is a big friction point.
I take it you are a coder. Are you open to work offers or side-gigs?
