What would you do to make the Indie Hackers homepage better?

I would like to bookmark a post to read later or just to be able to read it again :)

I think it would be cool to have a featured member section! If not that, perhaps an area that highlights particularly creative or successful Indie Hackers companies. People generally want to see that people like them exist in a community before joining, from my experience

Infinite scroll would be nice. Sometimes I miss a few days and only a certain amount of posts are visible.

A next button so we could see the next N links would be nice. And of course, faster page loads never upset anybody!

I'd love to see three changes:

1. the following/suggested following UI not take up the 4th vertical position in the UI. Just showing the unread count next to the Following tab and give us a few more options there and that would be 👍.

2. the ability to report posts. This varies by the time of day, but I see the same spammy post, posted m times in a row some days. I'd love to be able to help report these for review.

3. the ability to hide posts from specific users. I don't want a block everything, but it would be nice to have the ability to opt-out of some types of content by users who post more frequently that others.

Personally I like the feed / hacker news style but I would like a better way of encouraging the use of hashtags for better filtering in the main feed. And more markdown support for posts!

Would like to see an #introductions (or #introduce-yourself) hashtag. This could replace the monthly "Introduce Yourself" threads to produce an ongoing stream of new users to explore.

A new user could be prompted to post under this tag on sign up.

Down the road, these could also be filtered (somewhere, not necessarily in the current hashtag space) by location, so members in a given area can see who's new in town and have the chance to welcome them.

Maybe complete PWA support to make it more mobile friendly?

I do miss some kind of “categories” which is here replaced by #tags but still it looks -although beautiful; kind of unstructured.

Where do I see all #tags? Etc.

I would love to see IndieHacker take the whole screen size, not just part of it, and have a slightly larger font. I run it on 110% zoom in my Chrome for better browsing. Without it, my eyes would get tired much faster.

I think it's pretty great as it is!

• Would be cool to integrate posts from followers in the feed. Might encourage people to post to that more also.
• Not sure what you're hoping to see out of the followers section, but if they post on the main IH, might be good to show their posts in the follow feed as well.
• Use some clever AI (or just a little manual labor) to find the top posts and comments, add hash tags to them like marketing, validation, growth, product, etc, and then show categorized content of the best in selected areas. An IHer looking for the best advice on a subject can see the top posts and comments.

Not sure this applies much to the home page :)
