50% day over day growth this weekend
We experienced a huge spike in traffic this weekend on Stylized! Starting roughly 2pm PST on Saturday, a ton of traffic started to flow into our app and registrations blew up. At first, we thought this could be bots and spam (some of the logins were a bit sketchy and crypto-related), but these users turned out to be more active than the ones we normally acquire!
All in all, we hit 20k page views over this weekend alone and more than doubled our user count. The exact root cause is still unknown, but we know that it was some mixture of organic influencer posts on TikTok and Instagram (mostly AI tools influencers), and we're not sure how many there are but hope it continues to get picked up and travel the world :)
Questions for anyone who's experienced semi-viral traffic spikes before:
- How do we leverage this to boost sustainable organic traffic?
- Is it worth boosting ad spend right now to take advantage of "the moment", for example 10Xing ad spend for just the next 2 days?
