Hello all,

We’re working to build a new kind of venture network - www.nextcept.com - that’s focused on the stories and experiences behind a person.

We think resumes are pretty much useless and we’ve all struggled to find a co-founder. We’re focused on making it easier to bring people together. The concept is fairly straight forward - consider two similar situations. You’re meeting a couple people for the first time. The first, you bullshit with about what they do, the weather, and maybe some other tidbits. The 2nd, you begin to ask random questions that elicit actual thought - what are your thoughts on a screaming children in a grocery store, do you judge a person based on all their decisions or just the ones that affect you, or what would you do if you didn’t have to sleep? The point is, these questions create a situation to share who you are and not simply what you’ve done.

We’re looking for people to join and share their experience. You may run into bugs and we’d appreciate hearing about those, but our real goal is high level - what do you think about a new way to find a job or a venture to join. Or if you hire people, what are your thoughts on this concept for finding people? Thanks.
