$70K+ Revenue The Last 3 Months 🥳

Every month for the last 12 years I've been tracking and reporting how much I've earned and spent in my business.

The past 3 months have been a personal best, with my biz pulling in more than $70k in revenue 🥳

Here's how I got to this point...

I quit my job at the end of 2010.

Having read books like the 4HWW, I thought working for myself would be easy 😎

But I earned less than $5000 the first 6 months 😩

I was trying lots of hacks to earn passive income, but nothing really worked.

Took me a long time to realize that it takes a ton of work to build a real, sustainable, value-adding business 🤔

The first few years I mainly made a living as a freelance web designer.

Freelancing gave me the freedom to travel the world 🌎

I visited ~50 countries, including one 44-month trip around the world without flying.

That included crossing the Pacific Ocean on a cargo ship.

In 2018 a friend told me he was earning $40k/month with a simple business model 🤯

He was basically writing excellent content for his chosen niche, publishing it on his website, and monetizing with affiliate offers where it made sense.

He encouraged me to do similar.

I'd always been interested in making money online, had tried lots of things and taken a bunch of courses along those lines.

So I decided to start reviewing such courses in depth, recommending the best, and warning people off the crappy ones.

I repurposed my old travel / personal development / lifestyle design blog into eBiz Facts and got to work.

My first big swing was a series of articles and reviews about Tai Lopez and his courses.

Took me 6 weeks and resulted in 20000+ words 😰

My content was quite critical of Tai and his shady marketing tactics, but I still found one of his courses to be pretty good and recommended it 👍

The first commission was only $12 or something, but it really felt like I was on to something...

Most review sites tend to praise and recommend whatever pays them the most commission 😕

My approach was to be completely honest and let the chips fall where they may 🤷‍♂️

It really started to pay off in 2020, when I started hitting $10k/month consistently.

But writing lots of in-depth reviews was exhausting. It would take me 20-40 hours to review one course 🫣

So I eventually switched to a hybrid model, with a shorter editorial review alongside reviews from real students of the courses.

Ultimately students have the biggest impact on the overall rating of a course on my site.

But we have lots of checks and guardrails in place so our ratings can't be easily manipulated like some other review sites.

Anyway, the goal is to accurately rate and review every popular course related to making money online 💰

Affiliate marketing courses, FBA courses, virtual assistant courses, etc.

There's still a lot of work to do!
