How to learn the SaaS business? I am in love with this model, but I hold no experience in it.

Learn by doing. It's the most efficient way.

Lurk here on IH, read the discussions, start to get a sense of the challenges indie hackers are having. Then start generating some ideas and plans.

It won't happen overnight. Take your time to read, learn and then implement some steps little by little.

Thanks for your reply. Yes correct. I will keep it in mind.

Don't waste your time for reading and lurking.
Find an appealing idea and think of how you would turn it into the business.
Ask questions, find answers, create a rough plan, add details, split into tasks, do them and see what happens.

The interviews are a great place to start. I love to learn from the people who have done it already. You can also check the products listed on IH and read about them.

But the biggest learning comes from engaging with the community, which is why I read and answer questions like this. Feel free to ask others. We are a very helpful community of people.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I do read the interviews regularly as soon as I get email notification. Its indeed a great section on entire IH to learn about product startups. Even after reading everything it pushes me to have experience in SaaS startups space.. to learn how the product company exactly works.. etc.. Will taking job in SaaS be a wise decision or starting up? #confused

If you can code and have 5+ years experience complex web apps then go straight to founder. Go to meetups, sign up for https://cofounderslab.com and look for someone with industry knowledge and a large network.

If not go find a job in SaaS, work hard and try to join the best company you can.

Get paid to learn. A lot of people jump feet first and end up wasting years of their life for no reason.
