90 Minutes Can Reduce Grief

I’m building the Next of Kin Plan.com because I’ve seen how quickly things can fall apart when vital information is stored in someone’s head or shared too late.

One day, my dad called me out of the blue. No crisis. Just casually said:

“The papers are on the shelf to the right… in a gray folder.”

That was it.
No follow-up. No structure. Just a moment I was supposed to remember forever.
I didn’t write it down. And by the next day, the details were already fuzzy.

What if something had happened?
What if that was the only “plan” we had?

Then there’s the story of a 26-year-old woman who died unexpectedly. She handled all the finances. Her mother couldn’t:

  • access her accounts

  • pay her rent

  • or even use the life insurance

  • unsure if she had a life insurance policy for burial

Why?
Because the beneficiary was her toddler, she had not changed to an adult, and there were no instructions, no plan, and no access.

That’s why I created the Next of Kin Plan™, a simple platform to help families:

  • Document where everything is

  • Share what loved ones need to know

  • Prevent confusion and financial chaos

  • Turn random memories into organized peace of mind

This isn’t about legal documents or wealth.
It’s about everyday families making sure the people they love aren’t left scrambling when life takes a turn.

I’m bootstrapping this because I believe readiness is the real love language. And every family deserves it.
