A platform for better real estate.

Let me introduce myself.

I’m Steven McCormack, and I’m building McCormack & Partners. It is a digital ecosystem dedicated to driving change with real estate. This is a labour of love, built from the ground up whilst on a voyage of technical, entrepreneurial and personal discovery.

My focus is primarily workplace transformation, yet I’ll permit myself a wide remit. This is my shot at redefining the online experience. This is my attempt at bringing the physical and digital much closer together.

So why do this? Well, our world has changed. Financialisation is giving way to a new era. Distributed work is emerging as a way of life. We now have a chance to forge a better role for real estate; one that anchors our communities, supports our environment and reflects our values as a society.

McCormack & Partners itself is a manifestation of the cultural, technological and economic transformation taking place. It is asset light. It is about ideas. It is remote. There is simply no need for many of the commercial, residential or industrial spaces offered by the current marketplace.

My approach to driving change is presented over a three part performance;

🌍 Act I, Discover; stories for inspiration. I’ll be exploring a better role for real estate, as set out in this publication.

📃 Act II, Define; a resource for learning. I’ll be distilling my ideas into courses, systems and toolkits.

✅ Act III; Deliver, a platform for driving change. I’m building a network of partners, teachers and learners.

To wrap things up…

My experience building McCormack & Partners has profoundly changed me. Unshackled from corporate life and independent of thought, I have transformed my mental outlook and physical condition. I have also returned to hobbies and interests untouched since my late teens.

I now have skin in the game. I am more curious. I love reading more than ever. I am designing. I am tinkering endlessly. I am writing better. I like thinking about what is possible. I am excited about the future. I make mistakes, lots of mistakes.

I always persevere. I accept and I learn from my failures. I am banking my wins. I am enjoying myself. I am emotional, expressing everything from adulation to anxiety, love to loss.

And one final, important point. I live a truly human existence, yet it is enhanced further by the wonders and opportunities of our digital age. I would not be writing these words, designing this aesthetic, or reaching out so far without the blessing of the internet. It is at once my co-founder, my motivator, my trainer and my mentor. It is the foundation stone for our future.
