A Space Indie Hacker: Payload Guide Aggregator

After what felt forever, I built and deployed my first indie hacker project.

Payload Portal is a centralized repository that accelerates space mission planning with comprehensive access to standardized payload guides from leading space companies.

Background:

When planning space missions, engineers need to access payload user guides from various launch providers (SpaceX, Rocket Lab, ULA, etc.) and spacecraft manufacturers. Currently, this requires navigating to each company's website individually to find and download these critical technical documents.

While manageable with a handful of providers, as the commercial space industry continues to expand, having a single access point for these resources becomes increasingly valuable.

The Problem:

Payload Portal solves this by creating a one-stop repository where mission planners can:

Find payload guides from multiple providers in one place
Access standardized documentation quickly
Stay updated as new companies and guides emerge

Reflections so far:

As a Mechanical Engineer in the Aerospace Industry, I've spent my career building hardware. However, I've been exploring what's possible with AI tools, and built Payload Portal using Lovable AI as a learning experience.

I'm using this as a learning tool to built lots of indie projects. And I've learned so much already.

How I could use your help:

I'm seeking input on:

UI/UX improvements
Alternatives to the current ad implementation (which I agree doesn't look great)
Additional features that would make this tool more valuable to the space industry
