A UML-like schema editor for Notion?

Do you use Notion databases ?

Managing technical projects with it is a bliss.

However, designing the schema is not straightforward…

So I am trying something new here.

You know when you create a spreadsheet and you spend a lot of time thinking about the columns, the data modeling ?

Developers use visual representations to draw the links between each piece of data with boxes and arrows.

It’s much easier to understand how things are linked together.

We developed concrete-datastore at Netsach to power digital platforms for our customers in days (instead of months). On top of the datastore, we created a nice user interface to design UML-like schemas - the same kind you can find in MySQL Workbench.

Would you use a schema editor to create Notion databases ?

What if by doing so you’ll be able to :

  • share complex schema
  • sync your data to third-party datastore
  • use Notion frontend to interact with your applications

What do you think of that ?

I setup a landing there to launch a private beta : https://notion-schema-editor.carrd.co
