Added a "Pay-to-Vandalize" feature to map

rename.world supposed to be a small joke, but it recently hit 50,000 user edits. The world map is now a completely unrecognizable, chaotic mess.

Naturally, as a bootstrapper seeing traffic spike and server costs go up, I decided it was time to sell out.

Instead of doing a boring Patreon or a monthly subscription, I pivoted to what I call the "Rich Stuff" business model.

So far, my MRR is $5 because they are one-time purchases, but the Lifetime Value (LTV) of a user buying an imaginary island is technically infinite.

Curious to hear what you guys think of this monetization strategy. Should I increase the price of the islands as the sea level rises?
