AdShot — Paste any URL, get ad creatives for 13 platforms in 30 seconds

Hey IH! Wanted to share what we've been building and get your feedback.

THE PROBLEM

Every founder knows they should be running ads. But the reality is brutal — you need different creative sizes for Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and more. That means hiring a designer, waiting days for assets, paying $500+ per campaign, and then doing it all over again when you want to test new variations.

For solo founders and small teams, this is a dealbreaker. Most just skip paid ads entirely because the creative production bottleneck is too painful.

WHAT ADSHOT DOES

You paste any URL — your landing page, product page, Shopify store, whatever — and AdShot generates ready-to-post ad creatives for 13 platforms in about 30 seconds. Static images, carousels, ad copy, and targeting suggestions all come out in one batch.

Under the hood, we use Claude's API to analyze the page content, extract the value proposition, and generate platform-specific copy. Then our rendering pipeline creates properly sized assets for each platform. No design skills needed.

THE TECH STACK (for the nerds)

Next.js 15 App Router, React 19, TypeScript strict mode, Tailwind v4, Supabase for auth + DB + storage, Stripe for billing, Claude API (Sonnet) for content intelligence, and Vercel for hosting. The whole thing is server-rendered with streaming for fast generation feedback.

WHERE WE ARE NOW

We're in early access at adshot.co with a free tier so you can try it without any commitment. Still iterating fast based on user feedback — the core generation flow works well but we're constantly improving template quality and adding more platform formats.

WHAT I'D LOVE FROM YOU

  • If you've tried running ads as a solo founder, what was your biggest pain point? Was it creative production, targeting, copy, or something else?
  • Would you actually use a tool like this, or do you solve the creative problem differently?
  • Any features that would make this a must-have for your workflow?

Would love honest feedback — roast it if you need to. That's how we get better.

This is a real pain point. A lot of founders know they need more ad creatives, but the hard part is knowing what angles to test first.

For Meta ads, I usually think in buckets: offer, pain point, proof/stat, product benefit, comparison, and direct-response CTA. Even if the design is simple, changing the angle can make the test much more useful.

I made a free set of editable Meta ad templates around those angles here, in case useful:

Curious if your users mostly want static image ads first, or carousels/video too?

Interesting—are you tracking how each platform’s creatives affect conversion, or mostly just gathering them?

13 platforms from one URL is a solid hook. agencies i talk to always complain about reformatting creatives for each channel — this solves that pain directly.

curious about the pricing model. are you going freemium or straight paid? the "paste a URL" simplicity feels like it could convert well as a free trial with limits.
