Am I the only person that has this problem?
You're on a call with 3+ teammates. You're participating in the call, having side conversations on Slack with the other teammates, and trying to take notes. At the end of the call, you get an email with with 3 other raw notes with the message "can you please consolidate these notes and circulate it to the broader team?"
Am I the only person who hates doing this? Even as I've become more senior and have more junior members on the team perform this task, I can't stop but think how much time it wastes let alone how it can drain any enjoyment out of work...
We use Notion for that, at the beginning of a call, we create a notion page, share the link between the participants, and voila.
Ah! Do you have issues with redundancies? Maybe I'm using Notion wrong, but when I use it with a team, I end up having tons of redundancies (like when I use Google Docs).
Really fun tool to use though!
So like a tool where multiple users can contribute to a consolidated note and it automatically send an email of those combined notes to the rest of the team?
Yeah I'm thinking something like that...basically make it more fun and easy to consolidate notes during the call and then automatically send an email with those notes to everyone on the team. Oh and save notes to the cloud (I feel like a lot of tools already do this part well)
Well the question is "do the tools do it well?" There's tools out there for lots of things, but half the time they are either like using the backend of a screwdriver like a hammer or they just plain suck.
What if you found more of a niche for your idea? Consolidate notes for X industry. I dunno. Just a thought :)
