    The more senior you get the less your coding skills matter overall :)
    The ability to communicate clearly with people who has a different expertise is one of the most important skills engineers have to learn.

    OP are you me!?

    This list is literally a play-by-play of my previous duties when I worked as a lead engineer for a midsized tech company, lol.

    I love how much emphasis you put on preserving the emotions of others and yourself (the embarrassed manager, not feeling offended listening to another engineer's ideas, etc.). Very uncommon skill in the engineering space.

    This post is gold.

    One thing I think it's missing is: learning how to not lose your mind dealing with constant pull requests on GitHub

    As a senior engineer, I can confirm that this list is absolutely spot-on. I don't think I'll ever have all these skills even if I work for the next 100 years. Actually, don't know any senior engineers that even have half of these🤔
