Hey all,
I'm currently working on a nocode project that involves plenty of dynamic data.
I absolutely love using the visual editor of Webflow to create sites, but the limits on CMS items is a major put off as I am envisaging requiring tens of thousands of items.
Does anybody have any experience with connecting webflow to alternative backend? Airtable would be absolutely ideal, but I can't see an obvious way to connect.
The other alternative I am looking at is Bubble, but the visual editor is just nowhere near as good 😕
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
I think you can use Netlify CMS whilst converting the Webflow CMS (needs code export) with Udesly but that's a paid option, however, maybe makes sense to explore.
To be honest, was just delving into this but rather because of costs. Webflow is quite expensive.
@joeprkns the Bubble editor may not be quite as easy, but the tradeoff for functionality is often well worth it. Are you finding that you can't implement specific UI in Bubble? As a diehard Bubbler I'm always keen to see examples.
Hey @ej thanks for your response.
I guess there isn't a specific UI i'm struggling to implement, I mainly just wanted to explore any Webflow backend alternatives first.
That being said, it's looking likely I will have to roll up my sleeves and get familiar with the Bubble editor. Do you have any tutorials / guides you would recommend specifically for the UI builder?
Check out Dan Smolkin, Coaching No Code Apps and Bubble's own Youtube page.
maybe WordPress better suit your need?
I used to hate Wix but in recent years they've improved the usability a lot, CMS is easy to implement and modify. Give it another try @joeprkns
