Any recommendations for referral marketing software?

Hola fellow Indie hackers,
I was listening to @Arvidkahl's podcast. Very inspiring and fascinating story. He was talking about including referral programs. Do you guys have any suggestions on any cheap solutions to integrate into an existing SaaS solution? All the ones I found so far seem to be pretty expensive relative to my MRR. Anything which is more favorable to startups? Thanks guys.
Keep hustling.

I have an extensive list of my blog, but I don't think you will find one with no monthly cost since it costs money to track clicks and do payouts. If you are already making a profit, you could check out ShareaSale (a one-time fee), or look at the list of SaaS specific ones here to see if any are cheaper: Link to blog

If you want to DIY, you can put a "Refer a friend" link in your SaaS and simply take the user to an email form that they fill out with their friend's info. The user enters the friend's email and you use your emailing marketing software to send the potential customer a welcome email that says "So and so thought you would like our product. etc etc."

If you want to reward your customers for referring people, then it gets a little trickier. You can use the same method above but use your email marking software to track who signed up and then match it up with who filled out the form and do the reward manually, like giving them free features or extra months. You can also look into promo codes, and then match up the promo code with the person signing up for your service.

Keep in mind you shouldn't reward until the person actually becomes a paying customer.
    Hope this helps.

Nice resourceful website!! Good job. Yeah, I may end up building a simple form (thanks for DIY workflow). Paying for a service on a monthly basis with no assurance on how many of my users will actually use that feature does not make sense. Thanks again!!

You're welcome! If you want to expand beyond forms, an idea is to give every user a unique link they share with friends. Just give every user a unique code (just keep track in a database) and then build a referral link using a basic UTM code that hits your regular landing page (https://ga-dev-tools.appspot.com/campaign-url-builder/)
You can track which users end up signing up through analytics and then do the rewards manually.
The best rewards are usually reciprocal, meaning the referrer gets a reward and the person being referred gets a reward as well, aka Dropbox or AirBnB style.

How about Vyper and ReferralCandy @chakrdeep

I’m actually a big fan of Viral Loops. They’re UK-based. Their software is fairly customizable and not expensive. Check them out!

No actual experience with any, but someone in the San Diego IHers group asked about this the other day, and was told: "Check out Rewardful. Link Mink, and FirstPromoter"

Thank you @AndrewV! Never knew about these services. It appears to be in the same price range as the others I saw. I was wondering if there were any service which kind of charged per transaction rather than a flat fee per month.

Sorry, kinda missed that in the post and jumped the gun!

We also looked into open source options, but couldn't find anything (other than a project that was last updated 10 years ago). You might be able to dig around and find something though, it wasn't an in-depth look.
