Hi community. I'm the co-founder of Wildkard, a sports experience platform for youth athletes, coaches, and teams. We're launching in the AppStore/Play in 7 days, and want to learn how we acquire our first 100 users.
We recently completed a 4-week beta with 50 users (learned a lot). Our plan is to slow-launch, get feedback, iterate, repeat, ...
Any tips or tricks to acquire our first 100 users (coaches, sports teams) would be super helpful. Appreciate your time!

From what I saw on your website, it looks like a team needs to be signed up for your app in order for people to realize the value, so you should track your progress based on teams, not users. The number of users is just an interesting detail to help you understand teams.
To get to the first 5 teams, I would reach out through your friend network. If you deliver value for those first 5 teams, you should be able to get referrals to other teams in the same leagues and that may be enough to get you up to 20 teams. Then if you have most of the teams in a league using the app, that may get you an opening to have the league recommend all teams use the app. If you have traction with a few leagues, that will probably be enough to get you to 50 teams. The learnings from getting up to 50 teams should inform the steps after that.
