API powered Contact Manager

Hi All Indie Hackers,
Like to get opinions on a concept that we discussed among our team.

  1. Platform that allow developers, to create contact and subscription forms
  2. Provide API endpoints for each forms, This can be used to collect the contact form submission from any static or dynamic sites.
  3. Categorize the saved contacts using tags/categories(Users can predefine tags). This will available in API so that a submission will automatically go to specific category.
  4. Mark Spam submissions for future also
  5. Export ALL, specific categories, connect and download data for using it in campaigns.
  6. Connect to email delivery services like sendgrid.

Why we discussed this idea?
Platforms like mail chimp is charging users a hell amount of money which includes transactional mails/Month,
Basic Mailchimp Prices for 50K Contacts is 272 $ per month where as we plan to give it very cheap as it doesnt involve any other features.

many times small startups, small agencies like to store contacts and use transactional platforms for sending mails with filtered contacts (Avoiding junk and spam mails)
No Platform Lock Like Mailchimp: This can be used to send emails from any platforms by exporting data in csv or excel.

I like to get opinions about this, we are not emotionally attached to this.

Was pretty sure such things exist than recalled mainchimp had something like that as you seem to mention... Can someone use zappier with MailChimp to transfer the contacts elsewhere from their system basically using that service for free?

Surely I can also use something like airtable or notion? In a similar way..

Yes, mailchimp have that option. But the cost of managing large volume of contacts is super high. Iam not sure about notion or airtable about the posisbility of categorizing the submitted data and segment it, need to check. Thank you so much for your valuable feedback.
