At what age did you start your business?

I was 29 when I started Indie Hackers, and I'm a month away from turning 35

I'm just about to go full time on Squeaky in April, I'm 35. I have done plenty of other project over the years but the first one I felt confident to turn in a real (legally speaking) business and 100% commit myself to.

I've never been in a big rush, but I always had 35 in mind as a date by which I wanted to have really tried to strike out on my own after my seeing my Dad start his most successful business at that age. I remember seeing him as a kid and teenager and noticing how much he was benefitting from the professional/world experience he'd had up until then in other roles...hopefully that helps for me too 🤞😬

36, I am 37 and I sold it.

I think the first time I ever sold a product I made to a to a customer was in October 2010 when I released my first Xbox Live Indie Game. I was 22 years old. It was very exciting and I loved watching people play it on YouTube.

at 20 but at 16 I was the cofounder of a startup. I think, age don't matter a lot, that's matter is the willing. if you are willing to work day and night weekend and day of on your startup to make it successful , you are on a good path. If you don't take the job seriously and you are only making a startup for the profit, you will fail during the next 5 years. Making a startup is extremely exciting but if you study software developers, don't make only coding, your job is to make everything from UI/UX to HR, to security and marketing the list is long; but that's why I love the startup field you aren't focused on one think you do everything. Always remember, that make a company successful isn't the idea and the features it's everything behind that's why 9/10 company failed over the next 5 years it's because they don't understand.

personally i kinda always tried something on the side, but jumped out for good at 33. now onto 41. life's never been better.

Who are in their 20s - and think they are too late.

It doesn't matter how old you are.

First one at 23. Last one at 39.
