🤔 audience vs product first? [poll]
by
Michal Kardys
I see these 2 battling with each other:
audience first, product second
or
product first, fit audience later
What do (did) you choose?
Why?
Problem >> Audience >> Solution >> Audience >> Product >> Audience >> ...
You build the audience throughout the process, whilst talking to people who potentially have the problem you are solving, they might help you better define the problem or find a new one worth solving. Then you can re-use the same audience for another research (solution) and grow the audience from within - ask those who you are already working with if they know someone who might be interested too, e.g. 2-3 people.
This gives you also enough motivation when you are feeling down. It will give you more sense of purpose, that other people are struggling with the same. It is much more fun, than just building it for yourself and then expecting everyone will love it.
Running lean.
Thanks for insights on the process.
I like short iterations
Like Test Driven Development but for product-market fit
I believe that we should think about the audience first and create products that it needs
Thanks
Bonus question if you don't mind
How big audience would be big enough for you?
Depends on the product, you can calculate it with some of the A/B testings tools
Got it
Thank you
