Hi fellow Indie Hacker folks!

Hi fellow Indie Hacker folks!

I've been here a while and been involved. I love this community.

I am working on rebuilding an old site and I'd love your feedback.

www.teslacarsearch.com

  • find used Tesla cars for sale across the USA
  • I launched it months ago, but it crashed and died :) due to technical issues.
  • I am rebuilding it. SEO work in progress, adding more car sources.

QUESTION:

  • What do you think of the Usability
  • If you were looking for a car, does it provide everything you would like to see?

Thanks SO MUCH for your Feedback!!!

    Hey Lloyd!

I like the idea! Since I am from Austria and a student I am not quite your target customer, however I would like to give you some feedback regarding the UI/UX and some parts I found interesting.

    1. Why does the logo contain "Motors"? If your website is only dedicated to the search of tesla cars why is it named like an actual automotive company?

    2. Consistency: The search row holds three multiple options boxes, one zip code and the actual search button. I would decide to either round the corners on all or none of them.

    3. The "More Tesla Pics" looks a bit off since most of the images you have do not fully fit into the card. Also maybe consider another shorter and professional wording along something like "More Pictures".

    4. The display of the car's specification looks very much like a database entry. You can make that more engaging and interesting to the user. Citing Steve Schoger: "Your UI doesn't need to map one-to-one with your data's fields and values." Take a look at this example to see what I mean: https://twitter.com/steveschoger/status/997125312411570176

I hope that I could help you out a little bit :)

    Good luck with your project!
