Today's New Year's challenge is a tough one--"take a forest bath."
Wash away the troubles and turbulence of the world through the cleansing effects of nature.
How does a city dweller find a forest to take a bath??? Well, in the explanation, it says that it's not a request to take a bath literally, but to "bathe in nature" in any way.
Coincidentally, I'm away in a rocky desert in Utah today. There's a hot spa right next to a huge sedimentary rock. So after dinner, I bathed, sort of, in the hot spa in the subzero weather, and mission accomplished!
I do not walk in the woods or hike much. The closest to nature for me is by turning on the rainy sounds playlist on my Spotify as I work. The sound of raindrops hitting the roof has a soothing effect on me. I also have a palm tree and a beach as my Zoom background.
Sadly, I have zero survival skills if I got sent to play the Survivor or Naked and Afraid type of shows. I can't think of a career if there's no computer or internet involved. And I'm content with watching nature from the Discovery channel, not in person.
