Best tool to design renders for testing product ideas

Hi team,

I was wondering if someone could recommend me a design tool I could learn to use in order to test product ideas for DTC brands. I always have a lot of ideas for products I could start selling under a DTC brand but I am always relying on a designer to make me the renders but I would like to gain more independence. The designer I am working with is always using Photoshop, is it the way to go or is there better tools?
