Best way to do a "pre-launch"

Hello πŸ‘‹

As an amateur indie hacker πŸ’», I'm reaching out with a question for all you seasoned veterans out there. Specifically, I'm seeking advice from those who've launched multiple products despite having a low follower count.

I know that before investing heaps of time and effort into a product, it's crucial to validate it. I believe this process might be somewhat easier for those with an established audience, as they can simply tweet or post about it, and quickly gauge interest in the product.

So, here's my question: what's the optimal strategy for a "pre-launch"? πŸš€ Do I go all in with a fully-fledged landing page? Should I stick to just a subscription form? Or should I make an announcement on platforms like Twitter, Reddit and here?

To be honest, I don't think Twitter will be a significant asset for me given my relatively small following. In contrast, communities like this one seem to be a more effective platform πŸ“£, especially considering that my product is targeted towards "technical people" or "power users".

In case you're interested, my current subscription form is live at https://cloudcopy.app/. I'm open to constructive criticism regarding both the landing page and the product idea, so feel free to share your insights πŸ“.

Thank you! πŸ™
