Best way to get e-commerce store beta users for SaaS tool?

I've been relying on 1:1 sales outreach to obtain a few users for our newest Shopify plugin/e-commerce plugin but I am looking to expand to marketing channels that would hopefully bring better results.

Any idea where e-commerce store owners live where I could reach them via paid marketing? I have a feeling Betakit or Betalist is not a good spot for this, or am I wrong? My assumption is that FB/IG isn't the correct channel to start with.

The Shopify Apps board in the Shopify Community forums might be a decent spot to share that you're looking for some beta users or early adopters to try out our your app.

If you're open to a little cold outreach you could also download the Shopify leads list from BuiltWith. Cold outreach isn't fun, but we've used these leads lists for our own outreach and it can be effective.

If you're not yet in the Shopify app marketplace, it could be worth the going through the application process as this will likely result in at least some merchants organically finding and choosing to try out your app.

Also if you do end up finding a place where lots of e-commerce store owners spend their time, please pass it along ha.

If you are looking for paid marketing, just try Shopify AppStore ads. Personally, I won't spend ad before reaching pmf

thanks! How would you get users before PMF without ads then?

Just find users from reddit, shopify community, facebook groups and my existing user base
