Hello everyone, I am somewhat of a newbie to twitter. After reading several posts on IH, I have found that many startup entrepreneurs yield success with releasing content on twitter, promoting their product (ie: posting positive tweets at the bottom of a landing page), and gaining new clients through this social media platform as opposed to using LinkedIn.
Do you use Twitter instead of, or more than, LinkedIn?
For those who have found success, what organic approach have you used? I have discovered that using the 'organic approach' has been able to provide the best results for SaaS. I'd like to explore twitter more and discover any useful accounts with articles/content specifically for IndieHackers.
Shameless promotion is okay, so do not be shy!
Here is my twitter handle if you want to see my progress: @KyleTummonds
I hope to gain a following this year and use it to find SaaS clients.
Depending on who your clientele is, it might be either one. If your target audience is SMB or Enterprise, go for LinkedIn.
If it's developers (e.g. you're building an API) then Twitter might be a better choice.
Thanks for the insight!
I use Twitter mostly for sharing and community. I agree with the previous opinion that for clients, you have to go on LinkedIn.
Yes, I think I will focus on Twitter for sharing and community. Thanks!
