Does anybody use Google Hangouts Chat?

Hi everybody,

We've noticed a while ago that G Suite has new app, Google Hangouts Chat. It seemed interesting, so we decided to integrate it with our project, https://newreleases.io. We created the same functionality for sending notifications to Google Hangouts Chat room, as we already had for Slack. But, now we are not sure wether we made the right decision. Was it worth investing time in this? Is this getting popular as we thought?
