Random quick thought:
Biggest psychological struggle in entrepreneurship is knowing that your marketing actions won't usually give immediate results, if any. Any article or campaign is long-term bet. And you lose most of them. In a full time job you know that if you ship something, you will get paid.
Most of the things I'm doing daily now to get my product out there is not scalable, and quite manual. One article here, one tweet there, one newsletter mention here, one youtube video there. And I never know which of them would take off. And even if something does, it happens organically much later, usually through SEO.
So question is how to stay positive if you don't get immediate results or at least confirmation that you're doing something right?
Try redefining your goals time-wise. Think how much users you want to have in 6-12 months, so long term games, as SEO starts to mater. Then check your goal not more than every 1-2 weeks, so you even wouldn't have an idea that your random tweet/blog post matters at the present moment.
