Bootstrapping to 100k MRR

I initially thought i would develop the tool in one week.

As a newbie developer it took me 5 months for the first feature, fully functional MVP.

https://pageradar.io/ didn't have email alerting in the beginning. Weird homepage, no onboarding flow.

I developed the second feature in a few hours.

I have close to 100 users. Aiming for 1 million users worldwide.

Follow my path here for regular updates ✌

Love this. I am also a newbi trying to make my app in Bubble. Where did you make your own? I am no coder and thinking to start with Bubble and use their support.

I didnt use a nocode solution

I'm using laravel which is a php framework - took the time to learn it over a couple of months then started creating projects to apply learnings

The best way to learn is by creating project imo

Ah, ok I see. Yes, I agree with you. I am aiming to build the best MVP i can in Bubble to learn by doing mostly. Looking forward to see your journey.

    Hello Samir,

100K MRR is a great achievement, congratulations at first. I would love to know what was your marketing strategy to gain your first paying 100 customers.

Hey I think you misunderstood :D

100k is my long term goal - So far i'm in the early days, and just have few users :)

        Ha, I appreciate the honesty!

It’s a raw, honest snapshot of your journey , from naïvely thinking you’d build it in a week to grinding five months for an MVP with no onboarding or email alerts. Despite the scrappy start, you’ve attracted 100 users and set your sights on a million. That humility, paired with bold ambition, is compelling. Just watch that it doesn’t sound like blind hype; anchor it with concrete next steps to keep people hooked.

Ha, definitely understand the thinking you could do it in a week. Once you work through the details in your head it seems like it's all downhill from there. FALSE. I just launched my first product (Synthetic Datasets for AI/ML Training) as a way to train the model for my first SaaS as well as help bootstrap the development of that tool. Just getting to the point where I can ship the dataset that's been complete for 3 months has taken ~1.5months to ship, so I feel your pain. Lesson learned!

What would you say got you from 0 -> 100 users?

    hey Samir 👋
Big respect for your perseverance — getting to that first fully-working MVP as a solo dev is not easy, especially if you started as a beginner. Pageradar looks clean and promising!

I’m also building a tool in the e-com AI space — it’s called SmartBoost AI, and it helps e-com stores boost conversions via:

    • GPT-4o-powered real-time product recommendations

    • Cart + behavior-based personalization

    • Prompt A/B testing & analytics

    • Fast integration, no code needed

Just thought I’d share it in case you come across e-commerce users who might benefit from something like this down the road. Would be happy to exchange feedback or even collaborate one day if it makes sense.

Rooting for your 1M users goal — you got this! 🚀
