Building a No-Code, No-Effort Website Builder – Which Audience Should I Target First?

I recently launched Build-Website.ai, a no-code, no-effort website builder with three key advantages:

  1. No template limitations – Just provide a URL of a site you like, and it generates a similar layout.
  2. No drag-and-drop required – Simply enter your content, and your site is ready in minutes.
  3. No vendor lock-in – Host with us or export the full code (Vue/React) for self-hosting.

Now, I’m at a crossroads in defining the right Ideal Customer Profile (ICP):

  1. Startup founders who need a quick, effortless website and would use our hosting.
  2. Web developers/designers who want fast site generation but prefer to export the code for customization.

Which audience do you think makes more sense to target first? Would love to hear your thoughts or if you see a better use case.

I built this after struggling with existing website builders for my previous products, manually creating three websites using this approach before deciding to automate it.

Looking forward to feedback from the Indie Hackers community.

As a competitor (i run Versoly), did you try over website builders? What issues did you have? did you check their forums/reddit?

Great to get your comment and question.

I tried major website builders for my previous products, like wix, webflow, framer etc. I had 2 problems:

      1. Limited templates
      2. Need to drag drop to have better alignment and mobile responsiveness.

In Build-website.ai, we get the url of the website, like which the user wants their website to be and the context about the business, keywords they are targeting and give the website.

How did you solve the limited templates problem?

As mentioned we get the URL of the sample website...
