Building a Small German Content Site From Scratch

I’ve been working on a small niche website focused on something very simple: helping people find the right words for someone’s birthday.

The site is called "Frau Geburtsta" and focuses specifically on German birthday wishes for women. I’m creating different sections for mothers, grandmothers, sisters, friends, colleagues, bosses, aunts, and other relationships.

What I find interesting about this project is that the product isn’t really the website itself. The real product is "saving someone the time of figuring out what to write" when they want to send a meaningful birthday message.

I’m approaching it as an SEO-first content project, but I’m also experimenting with things like:

• Creating useful content around specific search intent
• Building topic clusters instead of publishing random articles
• Optimizing images and page speed
• Improving indexing and crawlability
• Testing different content formats, including text, images, GIFs and videos
• Getting initial visibility through social platforms and communities

The site is still a work in progress, and I’m learning a lot from the process.
