Building an audience before launching

Hello everyone,

I want to launch a product in the following months and want to build an audience before doing so. The product is oriented towards mobile developers (a software service for mobile apps) and I am more than aware that having an audience and the trust of the iOS community is crucial towards getting those first customers.

I haven’t written a single line of code so far but tried to validate the idea with several developers in my local community so I don’t have anything to show so far so I was wondering: does it make sense to start writing technical articles on a personal/team blog or on the future product blog?

How would you guys do this?
