Building for slow success
I really like what Daniel Vasallo said about slow success .. and are trying to build https://www.kaapi.team/ along the same lines!
It now has 5 paying customers. It's a small start. But today; I finally got a good feeling about it. The hard work of past few months, and learning to code in 2019 wasn't a waste.
I feel now our success is a matter of when, and not if. We have built something that is validated. We just have to survive long enough to find our overnight success. And this time, we are ok to do it slow, and do it right.
I built my previous (7 figure) business slowly, it took years. In the early years it was very much a side gig.
Nice! Unfortunately mine is a full time gig right now so it can sometimes put a lot of pressure on me
Love this so much. I have a day job I love, but want to build something that’s successful and mine. It will take a long time to do it, and I’m ok with it because I do like the space I’m targeting (personal finance tools) and I’m building something I would use.
Nice! Yeah nothing better than building for yourself.
I agree! My problem is a switch ideas too often. For me its not a money thing its a new shiny idea comes up and distracts me from the old one
Yeah I hear you. I think putting customer oriented targets will help e.g. getting 50 users in 30 days, and then those 50 users will push you and ask for feature requests to help you stay on track
Yes, building something organic, step by step, works better. Overnight success ist overrated
