Building in Public: Newsletter Edition – My First Update

Yup.
I did it.
I started an every-Sunday newsletter last month. It's called Knowledge Box.

I wanted to build a habit and sort of get comfortable with the idea of putting my work out there every week. I wanted to use this to hold myself accountable to all of you. Tiny habits build large momentum, right?

One of the core things I'm embodying with my newsletter is the idea of sharing my process from "0 experience" to "kind-of-knowing-what-I'm-doing."
I have a running Twitter thread about it.

Even within the newsletter itself, I add a section called "Maker's Lab" which describes my experiences with picking up skills like learning Javascript, writing 1,000 haiku(s), recording a YouTube video and editing it, and more.

This community seemed like a really supportive one so here I am! I'd love to help and also learn from you all and cheer you on. :')

I'm super amped because my next newsletter is going out to 19 subscribers.
My focus is to continue delivering great content and provide even more value with every edition.

Just to make it easier for you, here's a screenshot showing what I put out every week:

Part of the growth process is feedback. I want to know what you think and if you're subscribing, what you would like to see. It helps me understand what I could do to add more value and in the end, you get a better Knowledge Box.

A lot of knowledge is out there and exists for us to find. A lot of people create presentations of information. What I'm trying to do is be one of those people you look forward to hearing from. Someone whose writings you read not only for the content, but also the individual behind it. :')

I reply to every email and I'm also considerably active on Twitter if that's more convenient for you. Looking forward to sharing more updates here going forward.

Cheers,
