Building in Public with a Podcast: Need some feedback

Hi folks

I've recently started to build in public, as recently I decided to take a 3 months break from the formal job obligations.

One of the mediums that I'm planning on using is Podcast, for a couple of reasons:

  • I want to develop my overall ability to speak and storytelling. I know that Podcast is a more free-style thing sometimes. And also, improve my overall pronunciation
  • I can convey more information then Twitter - while being natural (not yet, as I'm still quite uncomfortable with recording myself eheh)

The first long episode is on air today, it's 17 minutes long - but I'd appreciate anybody that's going for a jog and maybe don't mind listening to it. I have a lot to improve.

Some general questions:

  • I didn't use any background music, intro, etc... Anybody misses that? I don't mind putting it, but I'm trying to keep this as lightweight as possible.
  • Length: 15 - 20 minutes is what I'm thinking. Is that too long? Should I split into shorter episodes?

It should be available also in most of the Podcast apps, just search for:
"The Solo Journey"

I like that there is no background music. It gets straight to the point. Voice is clear. Your pronunciation is not bad. I'm able to understand it. Great work.

Thanks for the feedback - yes, I think I will ditch the background music completely. Happy to hear your thoughts, as listening to ourselves is usually hard - it is even harder to be our own critics! Appreciate

Hey. Thanks, by speakers you mean people I can have on the Podcast? I didn't think about that possibility yet - I will keep that in mind.
