Building RankHit: Why we chose content distribution over backlink exchanges

Hi everyone,
I’m currently preparing RankHit for launch.

RankHit helps small teams research keywords, create SEO content, and publish it to their site.

One early decision I made was not to build a backlink exchange. A one-for-one exchange is rarely equal: authority, topical relevance, traffic, and editorial quality vary too much. A DR 7 link cannot be treated the same as a relevant DR 24 link, and the value also depends on which websites happen to be available in the platform at that moment.

Instead, we’re exploring how one SEO article can be repurposed into tailored content for LinkedIn, X, Threads, and relevant communities, so founders get more reach from content they own.

For founders investing in organic growth: would you rather have a backlink-exchange feature, or a workflow that helps you distribute every article across multiple channels?

The interesting part is the decision to optimize for distribution of owned content rather than another backlink marketplace. The real question is whether founders get materially more acquisition from that workflow than they would from simply repurposing content themselves.
