I’m building a small app called WorkCamo and would love some honest feedback.
I don’t know if people really need this or not, but I noticed this problem with one of my friends who takes a lot of photos for work.
The problem is simple: work photos keep getting mixed with personal photos in the main phone gallery.
After a few jobs, it becomes hard to find the right photos again, especially when you need them for proof of work, reports, customer updates, or records.
WorkCamo is a simple app to keep work photos separate from your personal gallery.
Photos auto get saved with location name folder , You can create a job folders/subfolders take photos inside that job, and optionally add timestamp and location details as watermarks.
Some people told me timestamp camera apps already exist, which is true. But most of them still save photos inside the main gallery, so the same problem is still there.
My goal is not to build a big complicated app. Just a simple work camera where job photos stay organised and separate from personal photos.
Would love to know from people who work in trades, cleaning, inspections, property, construction, or field service:
Is this a real problem for you, or not really?
This feels like a real problem, but I’d be careful with how you validate it.
The risk is asking “do people need this?” too broadly. A cleaner, a property inspector, a contractor, and a field-service worker may all take work photos, but the buying reason could be very different for each.
So silence from one group would not prove the app is weak. It may just mean the wrong first use case was tested.
I would not try to solve that loosely in the thread because the first user segment changes the message, the demo, and what proof you need.
